Synopsis
Based on the bestselling memoir by Raynor Winn, The Salt Path tells the profound true story of husband and wife, Ray (Gillian Anderson) and Moth (Jason Isaacs), a couple forced to rebuild their lives after losing their home and receiving devastating news. With Moth diagnosed with a terminal neurodegenerative disease and nowhere else to turn, they make the bold decision to walk the 630-mile South West Coast Path, England’s longest national trail.
As they navigate rugged cliffs, windswept beaches, and unpredictable weather, their journey becomes one of survival, self-discovery, and unwavering love. Facing both the kindness and indifference of strangers, Ray and Moth confront their past while finding hope in the breathtaking beauty of the world around them.
Directed by Marianne Elliott in her feature debut, The Salt Path is a visually stunning and deeply poignant tale.
