COVID- 19 May 2021

What plans have we put in place to protect you from COVID-19?

On 10th May 2021, it was announced that Scotland’s cinemas could reopen their doors (again) to the public from 17th May 2021.

Since the first closure in March 2020, we have been working closely with the UK Cinema Association to

ensure that we were prepared to meet all of the necessary guidelines to protect our customers from

COVID-19 when we were allowed to welcome you back.

This ‘new normal’ we are all living in can be confusing and many of us will feel anxious about

returning to activities that we enjoy. So, we wanted to let you know what precautions we have taken

to keep you safe while you relax and enjoy the latest releases at the Annan Lonsdale Cinema.

       1. We encourage you to book your tickets in advance (online or by phone) as we have

reduced capacity to allow for social distancing and need to allocate seating

       2. Face coverings must be worn in the building by adults and children over the age of 12, unless                exempt. Face coverings can be removed once seated only if you are enjoying some refreshments

       3. One of the first changes you will notice is that we will be limiting the number of people in

our foyer at one time, so we may have to ask you to queue outside

       4. A one-way system will be operated through the buildings with directional signage to help you

       navigate your way

       5. So far, all your favourite snacks are still available to purchase at our kiosk, but we ask you to

       use contactless payment where possible

       6. Our staff have all been provided with PPE and hand sanitiser. There are also new hand

sanitising stations available for customer use (at the entrance to the buildings and our three

       screens)

       7. Prior to opening, we undertook a deep clean of both buildings. Between shows

we will be cleaning surfaces. At the end of each day, door handles, toilets, the kiosk, and

other hot spots will be sanitised.
