What plans have we put in place to protect you from COVID-19?

On 24th June 2020, it was announced that Scotland’s cinemas could reopen their doors to the public

from 15th July 2020. We have decided to welcome you all back to the Annan Lonsdale Cinema on July

24 th 2020.

In advance of the announcement, we had been working closely with the UK Cinema Association to

ensure that we were prepared to meet all of the necessary guidelines to protect our customers from

COVID-19 when we were allowed to welcome you back.

This ‘new normal’ we are all living in can be confusing and many of us will feel anxious about

returning to activities that we enjoy. So, we wanted to let you know what precautions we have taken

to keep you safe while you relax and enjoy the latest releases at the Annan Lonsdale Cinema.

       1. We encourage you to book your tickets in advance (online or by phone) as we will have

reduced capacity and need to allocate seating

       2. One of the first changes you will notice is that we will be limiting the number of people in

our foyer at one time, so we may have to ask you to queue outside

       3. A one-way system will be operated through the building with directional signage to help you

       navigate your way

       4. So far, all your favourite snacks are still available to purchase at our kiosk, but we ask you to

       use contactless payment where possible

       5. Our staff have all been provided with PPE and hand sanitiser. There are also 3 new hand

sanitising stations available for customer use (at the entrance to the building and our two

       6. Prior to opening, we will be undertaking a deep clean of the whole building. Between shows

we will be cleaning surfaces. At the end of each day, door handles, toilets, the kiosk, and

other hot spots will be sanitised

The first new releases we expect to be showing will be ‘Tenet’ from August 12th and Disney’s live

action ‘Mulan’ from August 19th , which means from 24th July we will be showing ‘Trolls World Tour’,

‘Four Kids and It’, ‘Misbehaviour’ and ‘Black Water Abyss’ with further details on timings coming

In advance of our public opening, we will also be available for private hire on July 22nd and July 23rd so

you can book an entire cinema screen for members of your family and friends to watch a movie of

your choice (terms and conditions apply). Find out more on our Private Hire page.
